Senior Manager, Finance & Accounting Commercial Services Division George Town, Cayman Islands

The Cayman Registry, a division of Cayman Maritime, was established in 1903 and today covers the full spectrum of vessel types, including commercial ships and private pleasure yachts. The Registry maintains headquarters in the Cayman Islands a European Regional Office in Southampton, UK and has global representation within the USA, UK, Italy, France, Netherlands, Monaco, Greece, Hong Kong, Singapore and Japan.

We are now seeking to employ a Senior Manager, Finance & Accounting based in our Headquarters, George Town, Cayman Islands. Reporting directly to the Chief Financial Officer, the post holder will be responsible for the application of principles of accounting to properly analyse financial dates in the Finance section.

SPECIFIC JOB FUNCTIONS:

The job functions include but are not limited to: -

  1. Assist in the production of annual budget and cash management;
  2. Manage the accounting month end processing;
  3. Assist with the annual financial audit;
  4. Perform General Ledger account reconciliations;
  5. Manage the payables and receivables process;
  6. Manage all day-to-day accounting functions;
  7. Assist with Accounting projects and updates of Accounting policies and procedures;
  8. Recommend improvements to how the Authority carries out its accounting functions; and
  9. The post holder shall be required to perform any other duties as requested from time to time by the Global Director, Commercial Services, CFO, CEO or Designate.

QUALIFICATIONS, EXPERIENCE & SKILLS:

To perform this job effectively the post holder must have a proven track record in a similar senior position and satisfy the following minimum requirements: -

  1. Bachelors or tertiary degree in Business Administration, or related field from an accredited institution with a minimum of four (4) years’ experience at the managerial level within a similar organization or at least seven (7) years of related office management experience at the managerial level and/or training or an equivalent combination of education and experience;
  2. A professional qualification (CPA) or similar professional designation would be preferred; and
  3. A proven track record performing in a similar capacity is preferred.

CI$89,880 – CI$98,520 per annum
