Human Resources Officer, Human Resources Division, Harbour Walk, Cayman Islands

The Cayman Registry, a division of Cayman Maritime, was established in 1903 and today the Register covers the full spectrum of vessel types, including commercial ships and private pleasure yachts. The Registry maintains headquarters in the Cayman Islands and a European Regional Office in Southampton, UK, with global representation in the USA, UK, Italy, France, Netherlands, Monaco, Greece, Hong Kong, Singapore and Japan.

We are now seeking to employ a Human Resources Officer based in Human Resources Division in our Harbour Walk office, Cayman Islands. Reporting directly to the Manager, Human Resources, as part of a dynamic team, the post holder will actively participate in the day-to-day human resources functions of a busy office of a Maritime Administration. This includes workforce planning, talent management, recruitment and selection, employee relations, professional development and performance management, while working in partnership with other Divisions for the delivery of first-class customer focused, efficient and effective services in-line with best practices.

SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES & JOB FUNCTIONS:

The job functions include but are not limited to: -

  1. Assist in all aspects of employee relations and wellbeing;
  2. Assist in the development of human resources policies and procedures;
  3. Assist with the Recruitment and Selection process;
  4. Assist with the HR & Admin budget and audit process;
  5. Assist with HR Statistical Reports;
  6. Assist with Employee leave and training record;
  7. Assist with Payroll and Benefits; and
  8. Assist with the coordination of the annual Maritime Scholarship Promotion and Internship Programme.

QUALIFICATIONS, EXPERIENCE & SKILLS:

To perform this job effectively the post holder must have a proven track record in a similar senior position and satisfy the following minimum requirements:

  1. High School Diploma/GED/O level qualifications with one to three (1-3) years of experience within a similar organisation; and
  2. A proven track record performing in a similar capacity is preferred.

In addition, the post holder might possess: -

  1. Sound language, analytical, presentation and IT skills;
  2. Ability to maintain strict deadlines;
  3. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals/checklists;
  4. The ability to be an integral member an effective and cohesive team;
  5. Strong organisational, prioritisation and detail-oriented skills within established procedures;

Salary Scale: CI$48,096-CI$63,120 per annum
