CISR Client Hurricane Advisory

Published 17th August 2007, 1:10pm

The CISR is a global organisation and as such can continue operations if any of our offices are affected by a natural disaster. With the approach of Hurricane Dean to the Cayman Islands, clients can be assured that the CISR has a tested Hurricane Plan which is focused on maintaining high-quality operations for our clients.

Business continuity is vital to our global service and should the Head Office in Grand Cayman have to close temporarily due to hurricane conditions, the work of the Registry will continue as follows:

Registration and Survey capabilities will continue to be carried out of the European Regional Office as well as from our North American Representative Office. Crew Compliance (crew.compliance@cishipping.com) matters will also be dealt with from our North American Representative Office. Contact details for these offices are as below:

European Regional Office - United Kingdom

Representative Office – United States

In the event of a hurricane, the Registration Section can be reached at +1 345-938-1573, +1 345-938-1693 or registration@cishipping.com . The Registrar of Shipping and Deputy Registrar of Shipping will be in a secure location with access to the Registry files to support global operations. In the unlikely event that clients are unable to reach any of our global offices for survey matters, emergency queries can be directed to +44 (0) 7917-688-224 or survey@cishipping.com
